Kak Long's Birthday!

Finally we managed to gather 7 of us all together. Alhamdulillah we managed to go to the graveyard to see Uwan's grave this evening.

Well Kak Long's birthday was on 19th August and we celebrated last night with not-a-secret recipe product nor Baskin Robbin since there are none of them in Kuala Pilah. However, we bought an ice cream chocolate cake. Supposed to be a surprise cake but turned out hancur when the moment Abang blew the surprise by asking,
"Ehy kan birthday kak long dah lepas, nape still nak celebrate lagi ni."

I was like...Durhhh..!!

It's zety berries sempena her Summer Berries online shopping.

Attention! Ina dah pakai tudung. Now you're gonna see all her pictures with Hijab.
Surprise for the family!!!

Happy Eidilfitri

Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir Batin everyone.
Happy Merdeka Day too...

Raya raya raya

Okay I wanted to post this out since the moment I entered college last Thursday. But here, copycat the picture from my junior's Facebook.  I didn't expect that Raya would be quite fun as it's obvious Malays are the minor group of students in Taylor's. Even though there are a lot of  Muslim international students, but our college tend to play Malay Raya songs too. Unlike my campus at SS15, not as happening as it should be unless if we the student council has a plan to have a Raya makan2 after raya celebration. But nothing during the Ramadhan month.

Speaking of that, I wanna say about something yang I perasan about iklan2 Raya this year. I noticed it isn't as much as before. Why is that? Is it because I'm getting older so it's just me who doesn't feel so, or you also realize the same thing too?

Owh by the way, just bought a kebaya at Wangsa Walk. Cun melecun. Can't wait to wear it Raya nanti but now it increases my consciousness, to reduce my nafsu makan. Can I? Tapi serious la..mesti nampak macam nangka bungkus!

Najwa Latif

Yeap maybe semua orang dah kenal her but for those who are 2000 late like me, she's Najwa Latif ala2 Yuna la. Cinta Muka Buku was her first video I saw, and I was like...Euwww tak best nya suara dia. But then after I watched her Price Tag punya cover, I was amazed with her voice. Sebab selalunya kalau cover2 ni memang suka cari girls who can sing Price tag, Impossible and Jar of Hearts. If they can sing these songs well, so it means their voices suit my ears. Kalau lagu Alicia Keys tu so far memang tak pernah tengok sesiapa yang boleh tackle lagi. Eventhough Miss M.. Huhu. Anyways, enjoy this video.
She has a nice voice, I bluff you not!

[Idora Lopez]
You got me and I could not defend it
I tried but I had to surrender
Your style got me under the spell
Left me no other choice but to get down

It’s too late, it’s too late
It’s too late, it’s too late
You got it, you got it
You got it, you got it

When I look into your eyes, it’s over
You got me hooked with your love controller
I’m trippin’ and I could not get over
I feel lucky like a four leaf clover

I’m into you, I’m into you
I’m into you, yeah
I’m into you, I’m into you
I’m into you, yeah

Listen, now I’m strong baby I bring the fire on
Sharp shooter you can call me the zion
I’m not the one easy to get to
But all that changed, baby when I met you

Taylor's Parking issue

On behalf of my boyfriend as a driver and me as the co-driver, I want to post this out.

"Dear Taylor's, my main reason for creating this group is to address the issue that has occur before and is occurring again. It seems that the parking issue in our campus is getting from bad to worse. The opening of the new piece of land and the parking fees has only been a temporary solution which has in turn made the situation worse. As a Taylor's student, I feel I have the right to speak out for my frustration and unhappiness towards this situation.

Our fees includes the facilities that we have around our campus and parking is also considered a facility. Bad enough we are already paying high fees and now have to accept extra parking charges, there are no parking lots available. We can come as early at 10am and every parking area is closed. Guards are shooing away cars to go else where and park when every single area is full. Cars are circling all over the campus looking for parking and this results in many students being late for classes and lectures. Cars that make their own parking are clamped and I think that is very, very unfair to them as they are frustrated having going round after round to search for parking and being late for class having using the time to search for a parking. Students should not be clamped if Taylor's is not supplying enough parking. Totally unfair.

If a student is parking at a spot that is blocking traffic he or she should be clamp. But if they are not able to find parking but park at side of the road and not cause any blockage or traffic, I don't see why is it fair they'd be clamped. We have gone through a period before where students park all sides around Taylors and still able to get through. So how is punishing students by clamping their cars fair when there is no parking? And is there some form of biasness towards certain cars? Yes there are only limited clamps in Taylors, but if all are wrong, all are to be punished. Right now I see bigger cars with nicer number plates escaping getting clamped while other cars get clamp. Not right.

Being called a campus with world class facilities, having a half an hour show on 8TV showing how great our campus is but having nonsensical, third class parking just destroys it. How can you even charge RM3 for a parking area which is wet, muddy, dirty and hot and far away from the academic blocks and charge the same amount for shaded, basement parking. It is already a pain walking under the scorching sun and what more if it rain's heavily. I see this as poor planning for a campus that calls itself world class.

Do not take my words as being rude as I am stating every fact on the table. If I go too easy on words things will be taken lightly but neither shall I go too wild with my language. We indeed have a good campus but the parking situation has become a real sore in our throats. It is already bad right now. With the October intakes coming soon, it'll be parking havoc all over again and yes.. we shall see videos posted all over Youtube again. The goal of Taylor's is to be a university of 20,000 students and now more but are not available to provide parking enough for even 10,000 vehicles. Dreaming and aiming high is one thing but not having the capacity to provide room for such dreams is bad planning. Nice to have tiles in the first floor of the campus but having paid my fees along with my other friends I can say I would rather have a parking everyday and not get frustrated coming to uni than have my feet walk on classier ground.

My goal here as a single student opening this group is to get as many friends and students to support my facts. As a student I am not much but as a group we are stronger. As to the people responsible in Taylor's whom I hope this messages reaches you, I am creating my own opportunity to voice out. If a campaign of yellow people can make such an impact in a country, I don't see why if I can get enough support my cause cannot be made into a main issue to solve."

Perghhh I salute whoever did this for the sake of the students. The uneven parking lot doesn't trouble me as much as the other car owners as it causes their tires to wear off, in the meantime, it causes my wedges to wear off too. And very hard to walk to the car. Fell down so many times already, and had fun watching other girls trying to balance their body while walking through the lot.

So why wait? Click here Taylor's Parking Issue and click the like button.

I'm effing FOC

Again, the worst week after final exam in the whole semester is the add drop week. I was really reluctant to change the current subjects that I have already registered, I was very very ready to do Linear Algebra and totally fine with Monday, Wednesday and Friday classes. But di bulan2 Ramadhan ni, adalah seseorang itu menyeru di sudut telinga patik to change my classes to Tues and Thurs instead of MWF. He said, the less classes, the more we can spend time together. Ceyh, convincing la sangat. Tadi suruh teman while waiting for my next class pon dah sangap.

So there you go, what was it again? You said weekend only has two days? But I have four, hoooo yeahhh!!!

But people say History is kind of difficult to score but no assignments. Need to jot down all the notes during lecture class, and answer base on that. No extra notes nor textbook. Damn! Do you now how much I hate history back then? I might just angguk2(sleeping) as a sign that I understand what Mr Leong gonna say in class.

(Rara Zikry)

I just found this Facebook page and I was quite reluctant to read the description in the first place but I changed my mind when I saw this little piece of poetry which eventually touched my heart so deeply.

I was numb!

Then I just read through the description.

On 19th of March 2010, Zarith Nadhira went into coma for 2 months due to a mild asthma. Initially she was admitted at Darul Ehsan Medical Centre Shah Alam, subsequently referred to Subang Jaya Medical Centre, was admitted in ICU. Alhamdulillah she woke up from coma but was unable to speak or communicate with her parents, relatives & friends. She needs to be fed through a tube at her lower abdomen. Her hands & legs were stiff until today and she needs further medical treatment from specialists at University Hospital. Her diagnosis is Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy, in simple explanation : brain injury due to lack of oxygen because she had difficulty breathing. Hospital cost for the treatment at Subang Jaya Medical Centre came about RM80,000.00 not to include the cost at DEMC and later some other cost incurred at Sunway Hospital. This time her follow up treatment at Hospital University require intrathecal medications for her spastic episodes which would involve

1) EDM Lumber Drainage Kit, Qty 1 costing RM900.00 per unit
2) IT Baclofen test doses 1ml/vial (50mcg/ml) Qty 3 costing RM115.00 per unit
3)Intrathecal Drug Delivery Package
i.e Synchromed Programmable Pump, Two piece catheter kit, Tunnel rod Qty 1 costing RM45,000.00
4)IT Baclofen 20ml/vial (500mcg/ml) Qty 1-2 vials /mth costing RM670 per unit

www.medtronic.com/health-consumers/severe-spasticity/therapy/what-is-it/index.htm

This time the cost would be about RM47,000.00 excluding hospital fees.
The treatment were so costly as such we hope donations from you will lighten the burden that Nadhira's parent had to bear.
Thank you for your kind donations and may Allah bless you.

And then I saw all her happiness

Until this one.....

I couldn't be able to lend a hand, but I hope this entry more or less can help.
Will try to ask Ibu if she wants to.

A digital weighing machine

I just got back from my cousin's and the thing that I wanted to write here, is the part where me and my cousin kept checking our weight on their digital weighing machines. I don't know why, but I really couldn't control myself from putting all sort of fattening food in my tummy.  And the thing is, my weight miraculously went up and down inconsistently. We slept right after Suboh prayer and woke up VERY late in the MORNING. So you see, we woke up then we watched movies, chit chat then buka puasa, then tarawih then we marathon again some movies and eat eat eat. Then again, we checked our weight every after Sahur and Buka. And then few hours after we ate, and few hours before we ate. OMG OMG OMG. From 50 to 52 then back to 51 then to 51.5 then back to 50 then again to 52. Okay now I hate to use digital weighing machine because Psycho gila!

I feel like posting this on Facebook but that way mungkin akan menyusahkan beberapa mata dan meluatkan beberapa hati yang membaca.

"Rasa sangat HOT bile kita call boyfriend kita tapi dia tak jawab. Call berjuta juta kali tak berjawab dan tak pernah macam tu before ni. Bukan tak nak jawab, tapi tak jawab. Nak sedapkan hati, kita assume dia tengah tidur la tu."

Baca dengan nada girlfriend yang sangat gedik!

Thursday, August 18, 2011

And Alhamdulillah, dalam malas2 nak bertarawih tu, kadang2 ada jugak pergi ikut kawan2 and parents buat tarawih this year. Ada once buat satu family dengan Abang's friends dekat rumah Kuala Pilah. Terawih rumah sendiri lagi best, and memang betul kalau berjemaah dapat 27 kali ganda. Tapi harap jangan la pertikaikan orang yang nak bertarawih sendiri. Setiap orang ada cara tersendiri nak define berjemaah masa tarawih ni. Ada yang kata fun and rasa kenikmatan tu bile rasa sayu2 malam beramai ramai. But for me, kadang2 prefer buat sendiri sebab lagi khusyuk. Bila Imam baca surah panjang2 ni, dalam hati duk monolog sendiri. Tak pe la dah terlepas 27 kali pahala tu, tp atleast dapat kepuasan beribadat sendiri.

Betul ke 10 hari je lagi nak berpuasa ni? Puasa dah 20 hari dah rupanya tapi rasa macam baru seminggu. Dulu masa kecik2 dalam pukul 2 3 tu dah rasa haus ya amat. Dulu masa kecik2 kan bulan Ramadhan selalunya waktu cuti sekolah, so masing2 duk main kejar2 la, nyorok2 etc. last2 penat dan haus. People say, lagi kita dah membesar ni, lagi rasa kurang terseksanya berpuasa because we are all busy with out college stuffs, and for those who are working, busy with their work stuffs. But to compare with my situation now, I'm still totally fine, tak haus, tak lapar walaupun cuti duk terperuk dekat rumah for 2 weeks. Kadang2 bile berbuka with my beloved baby boo, baru rasa laparnya. Haa baru la Tuhan kasi ujian bulan2 Ramadhan pun sibuk nak berjumpa. And then I said "Arghhh now I'm suffering like how the poor people suffering."
Last night was over-sensitive. But I am totally fine now and thanks to my beloved sayang and my friend Alin for the comments, and for all the concerns. I'm actually really really alright right now, happy and smiling as if my lips touching my ears. Hehe. I love the quote that By's dad said

"Everything is okay in the end, if it's not ok, then it's not the end yet"

Doesn't it sound wonderful? Very meaningful for me, and for all other fighters.

One of my lecturer once said
"I'm sick of people saying Don't Give Up. At certain point when you realized your own limit, you just need to let it go. You're actually pushing yourself too hard for something uncertain while your own success is actually at different path."

So, all you need to do is to not struggling for your goals but keep looking for the correct path to achieve the goal of life. Which is happiness and serenity, here and hereafter. See, I don't only listen to my voice because I know it won't work that way. I always listen to everyone who has more experience than I have.

Owh satu lagi, my tuition teacher did remind me of this
"What important in life is not yourself now, but what you become after 20 to 30 years after. You may not even remember the minor failure that you're facing now."

Look, I'm not feeling that down actually, it's just my expression and thoughts that I believe I can share with everyone. Boleh dijadikan teladan dalam hidup InsyaAllah......

Peace you all!!!

When I start asking around and start comparing, the weaker I feel about myself. No matter how hard I push myself towards something, if it's just over my limit, I would always received lower than my own expectation. I know it doesn't only happen to me. Some people feel way much better than what I'm feeling now. But everytime I feel this down, I would tell myself that there are people who are less fortunate than I am. I drilled the thought in my mind since the downturn incident that happened to me where By told me to stop comparing myself with people who are at the above. But compare myself with those who are at the bottom. And then he told me how fortunate I am for actually standing right there in the middle, while wiping my tears. It's really mean something to me.

It's true the dumb feeling is still conquering over my mind right now, but I will never stop fighting. And I hope this entry is somewhat helpful for those who are actually standing at the same height with me. Just give your best, because Allah knows best.

Ibu always said
"He let you down because He loves you. Because the more you feel down, the more you will remember Him. And the more you praise Him."
I know some contradiction might exist with this sentence, but just look at it, how sincere are you for saying "Alhamdulillah" toward Allah everytime you get a good reward, a good moment or a good luck? You might just say it for the sake of being humble. And now compare your sincerity for repeating "Allahhuakhbar" in every misfortune that He was actually testing you.

And Ibu also said
"Whenever you are in trouble, don't let yourself control your actions, don't let yourself to decide the solutions, don't lean on yourself, but lean on Allah. Because you don't worship yourself, you worship Allah."

Whenever I say about a more religious thing, it's not that I want to hide my evil self. I speak for what I believe. And I am just still a normal human being who does sin and mistakes.

I know for all the sins that I did, things that are clear in every pious man/woman eyes can see. But I don't care because I don't turn to you whenever I feel down, I turn to Him and the Al Quran.

After two semesters I left Mathematics courses behind, now it's time for me to start the war of calculation again. As you can see, the more senior I am, the lazier I become. Owh chill2, its all because I've done quite a lot of credit hours to be transferred in Taylor's. Of course it's better to do more. But it's my option to chill2 saja for the whole 4 months in Malaysia. And don't worry, I'm still gonna be a restless student within these 4 months as I need to prepare the university applications, essays and all. Tuesday and Thursday can be filled with my applications. Huhu.

Owh yeah, a new timetable for a new semester is always accompanied by the previous semester's result. Not as what I expected, but Syukur Alhamdulillah. Worth the effort (walaupun rasa tak seberapa mana effort nye. Wink)

Akhir kata, class starts at 8am? Arghhh..Die la like this...!!!

BBQ with highschool gfs

6 Alphabets but one pronunciation. FRIEND can be define in many ways, even your mom or dad can be apart of your friends, sisters and brothers, cousins, even a boyfriend can be one.

Some people choose to have one bestfriend, the one who they can share all their tears and laughter together. But not me! I never ever had a bestfriend even for once in my life. Because I don't believe there is one. For me, the way I define a bestfriend is quite different because I know that I am a very sensitive and quite a hot tempered person. Well I believe that I can control my temperament as long as that someone is not a very close acquaintance to me.

Some people choose to have a group of best friends and even some claim themselves as BFFs as known as Best Friends Forever. Yet, it depends on individual, depends on how they look at it. But then again, for myself, I don't believe of a group of bestfriends because I am quite a competitive person. So it's good if that someone remain to be just my friend, thus my superego can always control the jealousy from taking over my personality. Other than that, I'm certain that jealousy is women's natural feeling, so it wouldn't be just me who might feel threatened with the other friend's credibility, but she is as well. Or maybe they.

I can't take harsh words over me. Some girls purposely let you down because of their jealousy, neglecting the feeling of sensitiveness that every girl has. They initially will debit every single thing about your life in their account, until at some point, they will purposely make you burst into tears. Anything. Could be your education status, who your boyfriend is, what you wear, where you go, etc. You might do some poker face everytime they do so, and cry behind the wall, dig it deep inside your heart, and again, at some point, whenever you find there's a space for your revenge, you would just do the same thing to your so called bestfriend. Still, you're still together because it's undeniable that bestfriends are forgiving. But for me, I can't withstand that kind of relationship. I am a forgiving person, but I am a very sensitive person too.

Yet, my life isn't as lame as you thought, not having a bestfriend isn't a big deal for me because I've been through it since I was young, and I am still alive until today. Because I still have my family, a boyfriend, cousins, aunts, and what most, a lot of FRIENDS. I couldn't deny that I have a lot of good friends since I was in kinder garden. And I am so grateful that I'm actually surrounded with a lot of people who are willing to be my good friends, who cares about me, who might not be there when I'm sad, but atleast cheer my every single day up. I can say that I'm a "Hi-Bye" type of person. Which means, not a last long friends-relationship. But I love gatherings and reunion.

I don't know how, but whenever there's a moment where the friends make a heart-to-heart conversation with each other, they would say that it was fun for knowing me as a friend. Not being braggy. But I believe because I never done what a bestfriend sometimes does. Perhaps I did. But maybe it's easier if I conclude
"Bestfriends can be your enemy. Sometimes they're helpful, sometimes they're hurtful." Can you tell the difference between "Bestfriends back talk and purposely hurt you" and "Friends back talk and purposely hurt you." Which one would be more hurtful? Since you prefer to share every downturns in your lives with someone known as bestfriends, they might later get you down, maybe mentally who knows. Because they always know your weaknesses. Well again, it depends. It's just the way I think for not having one. And maybe, I haven't found the best that's why I don't simply claim a person as the "best". Still, people change!

To emphasize the word peers, which referring to those who shares the same year of birth, same education level, same maturity, same understanding and grew up in the same era.

So there you go. A reunion of my STJ friends. I know my previous school did invite me for their reunion and I'm really sorry for not joining you guys if you read this. Just because I'm quite close to these STJ friends of mine, because we sleep, we eat and we study together.

I miss them so much. They were all actually a quite naughty group of girlfriends. I entered the crowd since I was in Form 4 and I'm glad that I met them because they love each other, and would sacrifice for each other, be there for you when the seniors ragging you or maybe when the wardens intentionally looked for rabbles. Some did hurt me deeply, but then it's gone. And now when it comes to a reunion, all the hurts disappear, with the presence of laughter all night.

The vacation at Malacca was the last time I gathered with them. As time goes by, the girls kept saying of wanting another gathering, but when and where are always be the most troublesome of all. They did ask me to hang  out for awhile, but I've never been able to make it. Busy with school stuffs! And now it's my call to plan a gathering with them, what's more when Ilani and Alin both of my medical student friends are leaving Malaysia this September. Ilani to India and Alin to Czech Republic. I wanted to see them so badly. I'm going to overseas for only 2 years but they're going for 5 to 6 years. Sadly, Ilan couldn't join and I felt so disappointed with that as my purpose of this gathering is, to see them both.

To reduce the expenses, I planned a sweet BBQ night at my house in Kuala Pilah. Why I chose my house in KP, because I myself really miss the house the one where I grew up. So zero cent for accomodation, isn't that brilliant?

After shopping the BBQ stuffs at Senawang, Alhamdulillah we could manage reach my house before Iftar. Sadly, Ayuni's car had to face a heavy rain all the way to Kuala Pilah. Surely in our mind was "Hurmm...jadi ke tak BBQ malam ni...Hujan pulak..." *Sigh. The rain getting slower and slower until it stops. What fun about it, we entered STJ around 7pm without even asking the Pak Guard's permission. I bet he was busy preparing his own Iftar. We explored the whole school, the hostel, even the principal's house and there were a lot of changes within 3 years.

The co-driver.

After Iftar nasi bungkus and Maghreb prayer, we then rushed to the kitchen for marinating and preparing.
Warning! Those girls in circle are not because I hate them, but because they didn't wear their hijab and it's not appropriate for me to upload the pictures nakedly. Yeap I can just not put them in my blog, but I think it's no fun if I don't upload every single moment during the gathering.

Doing the marinade.

The potato salad again.

Another car just arrived around 10pm.

Then we started BBQing

While some was BBQing

Some was chit chatting,

 Some were blowing the balloong

Some was decorating the yard

It's time to serve the tummy-s

With Basmallah...

After cleaning the dining hall and the kitchen, we gossip all night. Too boring to talk about our university lives, so we gossip about each other, about other batch-mates, juniors and seniors, teachers and wardens. Even talk about future things, boyfriends and husbands. And they did say "Must get a husband who can allow the wife to give us a leave to gather for one whole day or two." =)

Some of my burung hantu friends didn't sleep, we continued chatting until Sahur. But the long hours travel from KL to Senawang then to Kuala Pilah. I was really exhausted! I slept after Suboh prayer.
How exhausted I look? And I know the word "Ummu Tanam" which given by one of my Ustaz, which means Ibu Tidur, will never be erased from their memory.

Thank god the three drivers gave us the chance to sleep for 2 hours or less before we all packed up our things to leave.

We left Kuala Pilah around 8.30 am. And as usual, the guests would never missed taking pictures with the nature as their background.

The view from my room. The best view in the house.

Not everyone was here. Credit to my dear dormmate Ilani, then Wendy, Jane, Masha, Risya, Effa and Gmoy. Yeap they have quite weird names, or maybe sweet names to call. To not-a-hostel readers, just so you know actually for students who stays in a hostel, they normally given a new name or (nama panggilan) by their form 5 seniors when they were all in form 1. And for my case, I don't have any because I entered 2007, when I was in form 4. Ummu Tanam tu, ustaz saya yang kasi ye.

Some of my friends did blog about the gathering too.
