Bring the mood to study.

Take a deep breath, hold it, hold it, hold it,hold it and burrrrrrsssttttt....
Damn it, it's already the third week of semester and I haven't studied anything. Yeah I did some accounting assignment. I've never been this lazy for god sake. Is it because of the courses that I chose this semester? Or is it because I think that I didn't get enough rest during my holidays? Errr..what about it?
No calculation subject this semester perhaps? As in no calculus?
I can do accounting at the last minute, as well as Macro.
Two mugging subjects which are IPC and Psycho. Can I try to change my pace fo studying, as in do the reading subjects at the last minute, as in prepare or read or memorize the materials once the test has been annouced? Will it work that way?

Tidy my room

You know what's gonna happen if you don't visit your own room for quite sometimes? Haha. Of course la jadi sarang tikus. And here I am just arrived Kuala Pilah around 11pm and couldn't stand the messy room and which the most unlucky room in the house as it occupied with a store room. And yeah. Since bibik is no longer berkhidmat for this house, I'll be the one. And the others senang2 je nak campak their stuffs in here.

The Store room

After I brought out every single piece from the store.
See..when you don't need things, just throw them away. No point to breed Rattatouile in your house.
So there you go. I threw most of them away. Menyemak jewk.
Doesn't it look much better?

Camwhoring before pergi Campus

Maria Elena

I know every one would praise her because of her character as she seems fun, fashionable, and etc. I'm not gonna describe her in detail because that would probably be jusssst the same comments like the other bloggers did. Just one thing from my point of view, and which less people might write about it, she is crazy and gedik but not annoying. And tu yang paling fun about her. So you betta check her blog out and watch her videos. You will never hate it.

Tapi, Maria Elena? Have you watched Vicky, Christina and Barcelona? Do you recognize her

Her name in this movie is Maria Elena. Coincidentally. I'm still searching if any has the same name as mine, well at least Idora or Qatrunnada (other than my sisters)

Anyways, Su Ann that I mentioned, she's not a Chinese but she's a Malay I guess.
Do you agree if say Malays are more crazy about blog than the other races?
Semua nak kejar popularity ke? Tapi bagos la. That's how you promote yourself.

Haha..Adakah aku secrazy ini terhadap By? I can see my By's responses from Maria Elena's boyfriend.

JOM LA...!!!

The word "La..." is kinda common to Malaysian either Malay or Chinese. And even  Indians. I don't know what exactly "La" means but I believe that the word "La" can say is a must for every Malaysian in their daily conversation. Ala you know what I mean?

"Hurm best jugak la"
"Boleh je la"
"Kat sini lagi best la"

Or even...

"Of course cannot la"
"They told me la"
"Hey, I haven't finished my assignment yet la"

See..It's not necessary at all but why do we need to end every single sentence with "La"?
You know when was the first time I realized how common  people use "La" and when I noticed it is not quite applicable? Just right after I entered Taylor's, with all my international classmates.
They would absolutely ask...

Why do Malaysian use a lot of "la"?
What does "la" really mean?

So guys, as young Malaysian who grown up in this Rojak country, how are you supposed to answer that?
See. I was like blurr...and you were like blank, dunno what to answer right? But that's the fact.
And the best answer that me and my friends(Malaysians) could atleast respond,

"Using the LA word in the last sentence is just to make the conversation sounds cool"

And then they applied "La" in every single sentence that came out from their mouth. As in.....

"Miss, can I go to the toilet LA?":
"Idora, pass the assignment to me LA"
Arghh I don't find it easy to recall what exactly they said, but you know. Yang mane tak sepatutnye LA. That sort of thing.

Well it's not exactly right after entered Taylors I realized about this thing, but it was since I knew this friend of mine from Qatar who's studying in Malaysia. Yeah he does has a lot of Malaysian friends. And I probably the 100th or 1000th of his acquaintances that he asked about the word "la".

But from what I heard, the word "la" is not originally been used in Malaysia, but in Singapore I guess.

And the second word after LA is "JOM"....As in Jom go lunch. Jom study together.
Yeah it sounds normal. But when the foreigners use the word JOM, what about it?

Today's Expenses

We went to Gombak because we needed to fetch Nadzmi from school and then we hang out at Wangsa Walk and here are the "one day expenses". Just mine excluding By's.

Had Secret Recipe while waiting for By doing something for his dad at home.
Durhh...!!!!
That would be way easier if I can just stay at his house and chit chat with his mom while he's doing his dad's thing. Tapi tak pe. He should takes his time and I also need some times to be prepared. Just in case. Hehe
First time tak habes mamam cake Secret Recipe. Well of course my favorite one, Chocolate Cheese.
Agak bengang sebab tak boley online kat sini.
No not just that.
Couldn't even on my lappy sebab plug pon takde.
If not atleast boley la tengok movie while waiting ye dakk.

Free White Coffee and tak habes sebab manis gilak.
And you don't wanna know how much sugar I pour on the coffee.

Belanja By Redbull because he needed it so much since he was so exhausted driving here and there one whole day. And I felt guilty for letting him sent me to Damansara from Gombak. He needed to drive back to Gombak and menempuhi jam yang terok sangat because of Thaipusam, as those who are celebrating at Batu Caves. And I also bought him laici drink.

RM 5

RM16.20

So total up, one day expenses after few days tak date

Happy now?

Next month expense for sure, a new handbag. Fullstop.

Owh not yet full stop for this one, because gonna get a bicycle under duit Ibu dan Ayah tomorrow..Yeayyyyy!!!
So excited to cycle to college.
Does it look weird cycling in a dress or a skirt?

Alhamdulillah syukur...

Alhamdulillah its worth the effort.
Remember the battle with depression that I kept posting in my blog which caused me to undervalue myself? And remember how reluctant I was to mention what the hell was that all about? Because I was ashamed of my failures. And I hate to face failures. Nevertheless, I didn't give up, No I didn't.
And how did I overcome it? After I cried my heart out loud, with all poor things that had happened, I prayed to Him every after my Solat, and even Nazar 5days in case I pass this test. Okay2. I like that curiosity. It was my TOEFL. Yeah I didn't pass for the first attempt but I finally did it in my second. And amazingly that was higher than I expected. Okay,the embarrassment is just over the courageous to view my first attempt score, but for the second chance does give a big smile to me.

TestTest DateReadingListeningSpeakingWritingTotal
TELXMLJanuary 8, 20112124192488

Yeah I know it's not as good as some other people result. Nothing much to compare to some of my friends who scored higher, like 100 and above. But whatever it is, I'm just so grateful and I will fulfill my Nazar which is fasting for 5 days. Just for those who don't know, it is over 30 for each section so total up 120 for all 4 tests. But too bad my speaking is only 19 but I never aimed higher because this section was suck. It's not that I couldn't speak well during the exam, but I couldn't get the points of the conversation in the listening passage. Okay tak kesah pon.

Anyways people, I believe that it wasn't because I couldn't do it in my first attempt, It was just I didn't do my best and I kept saying that I would fail this exam. I kept saying the negative thoughts that playing in my mind, and even from the moment Miss Lela announced the TOEFL date, I responded that I wouldn't make it. And even during the exam I kept saying that I'm gonna repeat this exam. Not until that, I kept repeating that I'm gonna repeat this test right after finished it on that day, over and over again. And until the score was out, haaahhh ambik kau. Meraungg sepuas hati.

But before the second attempt, I learnt to calm myself, thought of positive things and avoid the negative thought cells from spreading all over my brain. And yeah I did it. And to all students out there, this should be a lesson for you. Avoid thinking of negative results but positive outcomes instead as the result comes out as what you thought in the first place.

View Scores

This is the comment.

Reading  SkillsLevel  Your Performance
ReadingIntermediate(15-21)
Test takers who receive a score at the INTERMEDIATElevel, as you did, typically understand academic texts in English that require a wide range of reading abilities, although their understanding of certain parts of the texts is limited.
Test takers who receive a score at the INTERMEDIATElevel typically
  • have a good command of common academic vocabulary but still have some difficulty with high-level vocabulary;
  • have a very good understanding of grammatical structure;
  • can understand and connect information, make appropriate inferences, and synthesize information in a range of texts but have more difficulty when the vocabulary is high level and the text is conceptually dense;
  • can recognize the expository organization of a text and the role that specific information serves within a larger text but have some difficulty when these are not explicit or easy to infer from the text; and
  • can abstract major ideas from a text but have more difficulty doing so when the text is conceptually dense.

Listening  SkillsLevel  Your Performance
ListeningHigh(22-30)
Test takers who receive a score at the HIGH level, as you did, typically understand conversations and lectures in English that present a wide range of listening demands. These demands can include difficult vocabulary (uncommon terms, or colloquial or figurative language), complex grammatical structures, abstract or complex ideas, and/or making sense of unexpected or seemingly contradictory information.
When listening to lectures and conversations like these, test takers at the HIGH level typically can
  • understand main ideas and important details, whether they are stated or implied;
  • distinguish more important ideas from less important ones;
  • understand how information is being used (for example, to provide evidence for a claim or describe a step in a complex process);
  • recognize how pieces of information are connected (for example, in a cause-and-effect relationship);
  • understand many different ways that speakers use language for purposes other than to give information (for example, to emphasize a point, express agreement or disagreement, or convey intentions indirectly); and
  • synthesize information, even when it is not presented in sequence, and make correct inferences on the basis of that information.

Speaking  SkillsLevel  Your Performance
Speaking about familiar topicsFair(2.5 - 3.0)
Your responses indicate you are able to speak in English about your personal experiences and opinions in a mostly clear and coherent manner. Your speech is mostly clear with only occasional errors. Grammar and vocabulary are somewhat limited and include some errors. At times, the limitations prevent you from elaborating fully on your ideas, but they do not seriously interfere with overall communication.

Speaking about campus situationsFair(2.5 - 3.0)
Your responses demonstrate an ability to speak in English about reading material and experiences typically encountered by university students. You are able to convey relevant information about conversations, newspaper articles, and campus bulletins; however, some details are missing or inaccurate. Limitations of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation at times cause difficulty for the listener. However, they do not seriously interfere with overall communication.

Speaking about academic course contentFair(2.5 - 3.0)
Your responses demonstrate that you are able to speak in English about academic reading and lecture material, with only minor communication problems. For the most part, your speech is clear and easy to understand. However, some problems with pronunciation and intonation may occasionally cause difficulty for the listener. Your use of grammar and vocabulary is adequate to talk about the topics, but some ideas are not fully developed or are inaccurate.

Writing  SkillsLevel  Your Performance
Writing based on reading and listeningGood(4.0 - 5.0)
You responded well to the task, relating the lecture to the reading. Weaknesses, if you have any, might have to do with
  • slight imprecision in your summary of some of the main points and/or
  • use of English that is occasionally ungrammatical or unclear.

Writing based on knowledge and experienceGood(4.0 - 5.0)
You responded with a well-organized and developed essay. Weaknesses, if you have any, might have to do with
  • use of English that is occasionally ungrammatical, unclear, or unidiomatic and/or
  • elaboration of ideas or connection of ideas that could have been stronger.

This is the secret recipe but I didn't use the book at all. Use the CD because it is so helpful as the formats are more likely the actual test.

Ahmad Don...He's so cute...!!!! Dah besar dah..Okay, my little cousin..

2nd week at school

Classes just fine, luckily it's not a problem for me to wake up early, not to say early in the morning. But earlier than my "wake up call" during holidays. And yeah of course tido balik after Suboh prayer...huhu..
And too bad couldn't update my blog that often since there's still no internet connection at my new apartment. Still discussing with housemates to have P1Wmax, even though I heard the connection is quite horrible, but what can I say, life is disastrous without internet. And luckily luckily luckily that every one of us has laptop thus we can at least play games or watch movies together. Hurm that's terrible though.

Uh yeah, one day left for me to ganti my puasa last Ramadhan and 3 days more for Nazar for getting good result last semester. Hurm, save money , save time, and less fat I consumed. Good Good. But the "not best" part of that, less time to spend with By. In case I never mentioned, By is staying at home which is in Gombak. Unlike Ezah and Ee, they go dating every single night at Lakeside. I envy them. Harghhhh!!!!

Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are [Official Video]

Ne-Yo-together

Because You Loved Me - Celine Dion

Parents are legal stalker and we hate that.

Do parents need to check their kids' cellphone and stalk them on Facebook? Is it that necessary for them? Why do they need to do things that might bring up provocation in the family? It's not that up to them for what they wanna do, how they converse with their friends and stuff. But well, as long as you can see your kids at home, and they even introduce their boyfriends or girlfriends, nothing else matter. If parents tend to do this kinda provocation, that annoy the kids. Yes it really does..

A locked diary?

Sometime rase tak bebas pon to shout out what exactly in your heart right now, even on Facebook or your blog. And even both accounts are belong to you, semuanye because you don't wanna hurt certain people yang berkenaan because it might cause such chaos. So that means, writing blogs isn't always be the best "thing" for you to express the clumps in your head. So does Blog mean an online journal? It does not, because it's actually a shared-online journal. It shows that it wouldn't be safe to make it as your own pinkish locked diary. Or better I say to replace? Owh damn it! I know you wanna give a punch in my face for saying things that are supposed to be seen distinctively.

Interpersonal Communication COMM105

I finally changed my mind at the very last minute of the add/drop week.
From Linear Algebra to Physic, then  Physics to eventually Interpersonal communication (IPC) it's a COMM 105 course. So that means my total credit hours for this semester is 12 credit hours. Not so bad, not so good.
About IPC, credit to Fatin, Syera, Mashi, Dz and Iqbal for giving me such a rare picture about this course.. According to them, IPC is fun, stressless and the word that they kept saying to convince me is BEST BEST BEST!!! Hurm, we'll see then. I've already registered for this course and I wouldn't be able to drop it or withdraw it because scholars are not allowed to do so unless I could afford to pay about 2k or 3k to Taylor's. So all I need to do is to give my very best on this course, not neglecting Macro, Accounting and Psychology. See how the options messed up my first week of school, I changed from Sociology to Psychology. Hurm I bet Psych is so damn fun though. Like seriously, I love this course even though I haven't started my class yet.

Hey no worries. I'm not gonna get the 8am class for my accounting. Since Mr KC isn't that particular, I'll go to 11.30am class. So basically, my timetable this sem best sangat.. Owh except Macro which starts at 3pm. -Sigh- I will always try the 1pm class section.

Okay first week nie menang tak busy lagi and the Lakeside Campus is super cool as I feel like studying in a shopping complex. I just knew that they have Subway and OldTown as well. They should open Ayam penyet and Shih Lin Taiwan Street Snack as well as MacD. But the food court isn't that bad though.

Do we really need Famous Amos in college? But we need a photocopy shop even more I guess.

A saloon in college? Like totally... The price is more or less like other saloon. Student cut about 29bucks and professional 39bucks.
